A Message to Our Valued Customers
After nearly twenty‑five years of serving the Sunshine Coast community, Darren and Kim Rennie are officially retiring from Dreamland Sleep Shop.
Since opening the store in June 2000, Darren and Kim have built Dreamland into a trusted local business rooted in expertise, integrity, and genuine care. Darren’s decades of experience in the mattress industry helped shape Dreamland’s commitment to quality, comfort, and durability. Kim’s background in luxury hospitality and textile sourcing brought a passion for beautiful, resort‑quality bedding, much of it proudly sourced from Canadian makers.
Together, they created Dreamland with one guiding belief: Good sleep is good health.
That philosophy has shaped every product selection and every customer interaction for more than two decades.
As they step into a well‑deserved retirement, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the trust, loyalty, and friendships built along the way. Their legacy will continue to live on in the values, standards, and customer care that Dreamland is known for.

Meet the new Owners — Scott Harrison-Lovitt & Deborah Harrison-Lovitt
Dreamland Sleep Shop is entering a new chapter, guided by owners who share a deep respect for its history and a strong commitment to the community it serves.
Scott brings a meaningful connection to the Sunshine Coast. Having spent his childhood summers on Gambier Island throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Scott’s roots in the area run deep. His memories of cabin building, visits with family, and time spent in Gibsons hiking the hill for hard-ward supplies, seeing the Beachcomber's set, or just visiting Gramma's Pub have shaped a lasting appreciation for this community. Returning now as a business owner reflects both a homecoming and a desire to contribute to the place that helped shape him.
Deborah is truly excited to be part of Dreamland Sleep Shop. After years working in the prosecution field, she has learned the importance of integrity, compassion, and listening — values that fit perfectly with what Darren and Kim built here.
What drew her to Dreamland is the heart behind the business: honesty, trust, and helping people find what genuinely works for them. Being here with Scott feels meaningful, and she is grateful for the chance to connect with this community and continue the legacy that makes Dreamland so special.
